    Day 1

    Arrival at Moscow, Our drive will be waiting for you in the airport holding a placard with your name, Transfer to hotel for check in, Overnight in Moscow.

    Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 Meeting with guide at the reception. Proceed to Moscow City Tour all major monuments from outside – Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Lenin’s Museum, etc.

    The city tour is a 3-hour tour of Moscow by bus. This is a half-day orientation tour that will take you around the city and cover Moscow’s landmarks. We will stop for approximately 10-20 minutes at some places.

    Moscow City Tour HIGHLIGHTS

    Red Square, enjoy a unique architectural ensemble of the 4th largest square in the world, the Cathedrals of St. Basil and Our Lady of Kazan, the biggest History Museum of Russia, the Trading Arcades of GUM, Lenin’s tomb and necropolis.

    Proceed to Metro Tour: Famous for being the most beautiful metro system in the world, each metro station has a story to tell. An entirely different design and theme for each station, the Russian metro is a sight for sore eyes with the statues and chandeliers that line the ceilings! On the way, we will stop at various metro stations to learn about the history of each station and appreciate the marble floors, mosaic, and stain glass work that makes these metro stations so tasteful and elegant. While some stations look like palaces, others look like picture galleries.

    Proceed to the Moscow Kremlin and Cathedrals, normally denoted to as simply The Kremlin, is a historic fortified complex that used to be the residence of Tzar family located at the heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River (to the south), Saint Basil’s Cathedral and Red Square (to the east) and the Alexander Garden (to the west). It is the best known of Kremlins (Russian citadels) and includes four palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. The complex serves as the official residence of the President of Russia.

    Proceed to St. Basil’s Cathedral. The spectacular St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century to commemorate a military victory. It is easily the most famous sight on Red Square.

    17:40 arrival at St. Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel for check in. Overnight in St. Petersburg

    Panoramic City Tour. This tour is a great start to your trip and the best way to get acquainted with all the city´s major highlights. Our professional guide will take you down Nevsky Prospect, St. Petersburg´s most famous and vibrant thoroughfare. There you will see some of the city´s most interesting architectural monuments including the Kazan Cathedral and the Winter Palace. You will then proceed to Vasilievsky Island. The tour will include a photo stop beside the St. Isaac´s Cathedral, the fourth highest cathedral in the world with a splendid interior and whose cupola holds over 100 kg of gold.

    Inside visit to Peter & Paul Fortress.

    It is the oldest landmark of the city. It was built back in 1704 by the founder of the city, Peter the Great. After Peter & Paul fortress became the main Russian prison for political criminals. Moreover, during the Red Terror of the KGB it has become a place of execution. You will get a chance to get inside that old prison cells. In the main church of the fortress, Peter & Paul Cathedral, you will see the tombs of famous Russian emperors of the Romanov dynasty!

    Transfer to the Hotel. Overnight in St. Petersburg

    Visit the State Hermitage Museum – one of the most important museums in the world. It houses a fabulous collection of nearly three million works of applied art, archaeological finds, coins, graphic art and paintings in six different buildings

    Transfer to the hotel. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight in St. Petersburg.
